CARTA DA REJU AOS JOVENS NORUEGUESES: SYMPATHY FOR THE YOUTH OF NORWAY/SOLIDARIEDADE AOS JOVENS DA NORUEGA

The Rede Ecumênica da Juventude Brasileira pelos Direitos Juvenis - REJU (Brazilian ecumenical youth network for youth rights) is sympathetic with the pain and suffer of the youth from Norway caused by those insane attacks related to Anders Behring Breivik.

 As an ecumenical network it is not our job to judge the original reason that motivated the loss of so many human lives that can no longer contribute to a better world. On the other hand, it is up to us to repel the existence of conspiracy theories and activities against human lives, which overpower the diversity and the dialog among all the human beings. This also goes against the principle that we all, with no exceptions, share the same home.

 In the XXI century the knowledge rests outcropped and disseminated around the world and it is well known that the extermination of the youth, the violence and the aggression is not hidden in that knowledge. It also does not show faith in life and in the will of a new better world.

What is left for us to do is to claim to the Constituted Authorities so that they do not forget the law and the protection of the lives of all people. To pray for the avowed enemy, as Jesus Christ, in his lasts moments of life in Earth: - Father, forgive them for they know not what they are doing! (LC 23,44)

SOLIDARIEDADE AOS JOVENS DA NORUEGA

A Rede Ecumênica da Juventude Brasileira pelos Direitos Juvenis - REJU solidariza-se com a dor e o sofrimento da juventude norueguesa, por ocasião dos atentados insanos atribuídos à Anders Behring Breivik.

Como juventude ecumênica não nos cabe julgar a fundamentação original motivadora que produziu a perda de tantas vidas humanas, que não poderão mais contribuir para um mundo melhor e possível. Cabe-nos, entretanto, repudiar a existência de teorias de conspiração e atividades contra a vida humana, que subjugam a diversidade e o diálogo comum entre todos os seres humanos, contrariando o princípio de que, todos, sem exceção, partilhamos da mesma casa.

Em pleno século XXI, onde o conhecimento resta aflorado e disseminado a todo o planeta, tem-se a certeza de que o extermínio da juventude, a violência e a agressão ao semelhante, não espelham qualquer tipo de sabedoria ou de conhecimento humano; muito menos, fé, na vida, e no desejo de "um outro mundo possível", reconhecendo em sua diversidade.

Resta-nos clamar às Autoridades Constituídas para que não cessem de buscar a aplicação da lei em favor e proteção da vida a todos os povos, sem qualquer tipo de discriminação; a orar pelo inimigo declarado, como Jesus Cristo, em seu último momento de vida terrena: - Pai, perdoa-os, porque não sabem o que estão fazendo! (Lc 23,44)
